This morning as I awoke and read my devotional for the day, I was extremely humbled and at peace. There are situations and seasons where we all experience troubles, and it is then that we realize that we need each other and that our hearts should exhibit compassion and be willing to reach out to those who are troubled. As humans in the great scheme of things, we possess strength to endure what we may think is unbearable. When we reflect on the lives and struggles of our forefathers, our Grandparents and our Parents, the road was not always easy. I’m sure they felt that they wouldn’t or could not survive in times of great stress; andif we are honest with ourselves, there are times in our lives that we feel like we can’t endure another trial either! We ask of ourselves and perhaps others…why me? I don’t know why some people seem to live a happy care free life and the rest of us have to go down dark paths of hurt and despair with trouble meeting us at every turn. I don’t know the answer, but perhaps it’s because we all need to follow the “Golden Rule”, which is to treat others the way you want to be treated“, we should appreciate the good times and learn from the bad times, we should make positive life decisions regarding our health and our relationships. Life is sometimes complex and we need to be able to reach out if we need help and we also need to be able to extend a hand when someone else is in need.
Our Forefathers, our Grandparents and our Parents endured with patience, we too must learn to lean and depend on each other’s compassion.Even in the midst of troubles, we too will be comforted;we can have peace and ultimately victory!!
